Your First Chiropractic Visit
Your health is very important to us at Gold Coast Chiropractic. We pay very special attention to all of your personal and health needs. Your first visit is a very in depth, comprehensive chiropractic evaluation. The chiropractic consultation will take about forty five minutes to one hour. At the end of the exam, you will feel as though all of your health concerns have been addressed, and that Dr. Lee and the staff have a solid understanding of your issues and what it will take to get you well.
Your Chiropractic Consultation
At the beginning of the chiropractic consultation, Dr. Lee will sit down with you and get a thorough history of your condition, health status, lifestyle, and your personal health goals. Make sure to be candid about your expectations and what you hope to accomplish from your chiropractic visits. This way the doctor will have a clear understanding of what your problem is, how it affects your life, and what your treatment goals are.
Your Chiropractic Exam
During the examination, the Doctor will perform an in depth chiropractic, orthopedic and neurologic evaluation. This involves testing all of your joints, nerves, and muscles to see exactly where the chiropractic problem lies. A postural or orthotic (foot) exam may also be performed. If needed, the Doctor may also request additional testing such as X-rays, MRI, or CT scans to help in the diagnosis of your problem. We do offer in house facilities, so if they are necessary, X-rays can be taken right here in our office.
One thing you will notice about the chiropractic exam is that Dr. Lee is very thorough; this allows him to make a proper diagnosis and to get excellent treatment results. He will spend as much time as needed to make you feel comfortable about your condition and the options to get you on the road to recovery.
Treatment
Depending on your condition, a treatment may or may not be able to be performed during your first visit. Whenever possible, Dr. Lee likes to start the recovery process at the initial consultation. However, in some cases, he may not have the results of your tests or be able to thoroughly evaluate your situation where he can determine the right option for your condition. When this happens, your treatments will more than likely begin at your second visit. If your condition requires a referral or a second opinion, Dr. Lee has an excellent working relationship with many esteemed Chicago Doctors.
